   About

A geologist by training, J.M. Panosky has plied a series of disreputable gigs including alligator wrangling, tick collecting, fossil hunting, oil rig steering, line dance instructing, and statistic inventing. Novel writing is a logical next step.

When she’s not writing about moral gray areas or reimagining queerness for invented worlds, she’s backpacking. Her home state of Colorado presents abundant opportunity for high-stakes misadventures in the outdoors.

She has only had her shirt stolen by a marmot once.
